The therapeutic approach makes use of a variety of tools from the CBT toolbox, focusing on changing unhelpful thoughts, beliefs, attitudes and behaviours, improving emotional regulation and creating a suite of coping strategies to solve problematic issues. It implies that both therapist and client work together as a team to identify the problems the client faces, come up with strategies and homework exercises to address them and create positive, long-lasting solutions.
